Hello! I'm Anna, the creator of Anna's Happy Gut Kitchen.
As a Catalan living in Germany, I know how difficult it is to deal with IBS.
In Catalonia and the rest of Spain, I've had a really hard time finding restaurants that offer dishes adapted to my needs.
And let's not even talk about the recipes... they seem designed for only one type of dietary restriction! They're either gluten-free, or lactose-free, or vegan... but you rarely find something that combines everything. Even when I was in the United States, I faced the same challenge.
IBS meant a brutal change in my diet. Suddenly, I couldn't eat anything I used to eat. It's not that I have a "passion" for healthy cooking, it's that I need to eat foods that don't harm me! That's why I've dedicated myself to adapting my favorite dishes from different cultures, from Indian curries to Italian pizzas, so that they're easy to digest and don't cause me discomfort.
In this blog, I share my recipes, my experiences and my tips so that you too can enjoy food without worrying about your gut.
